HISTORIC TAX CREDIT

     The Firm has experience with both historic and new market tax credit real estate transactions with particular emphasis in the historic hotel sector. Mr. Clement's experience with real estate development has focused primarily on representing and advising private developers as to federal and state tax incentives, including the historic rehabilitation tax credit, facade donations, tax abatements, and real estate syndications. During his legal career, he has served as developer counsel for numerous historic rehabilitation federal and state tax credit projects. As developer counsel, he has assisted his clients with closing on acquisition, interim development financing, and tax credit transactions representing over $376MM in development costs. In addition to serving as developer counsel, he also now participates as a partner for historic development projects.
