DAVID C. CLEMENT, SR.
Member
David C. Clement graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelors degree in Architecture in 1990.
Mr. Clement has extensive experience with every phase of a construction project. As an intern-architect, Mr. Clement worked as the Project Architect on numerous construction projects. Mr. Clement’s responsibilities included: client contact, schematic design, design development, preparation of construction drawings, construction observation, drafting construction specification documents, computer aided drafting, code research and reviewing construction contracts.
Mr. Clement received his law degree from Loyola University, College of Law in 1995. Mr. Clement served as a staff member of the Loyola University Law School Moot Court. The Moot Court Board selected Mr. Clement to serve as an arguing member and chief brief writer of the Moot Court team that attended the Vanderbilt National First Amendment Invitational.
Mr. Clement was admitted to practice law in Louisiana in 1995. Mr. Clement has represented architects, engineers, owners, developers, sureties, insurers, contractors and subcontractors in the areas of real estate and construction law. Mr. Clement has completed the National Institute for Trial Advocacy ("NITA") intensive deposition skills program. Mr. Clement has also completed the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel intensive Trial Academy skills program.
Mr. Clement is a frequent speaker to construction industry associations on various construction law issues, including construction contracts, recent construction law developments and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Mr. Clement is a member of the American Bar Association, the Forum Committee on the Construction Industry and the ADR Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
Mr. Clement is a panel neutral with Perry Dampf Dispute Solutions since 2014 and completed mediation training at the Harvard Negotiation Institute, Harvard University School of Law in 2013. Since 2019, Mr. Clement has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola University, College of Law teaching Mediation and Arbitration.


Leslie J. Hill

Leslie J. Hill joined Clement & Associates, LLC in 2012. For over a decade, Leslie predominately provided legal guidance to and represented contractors, engineers, architects, and developers, as well as property owners and homeowners in all stages of construction litigation including construction defect, design and professional liability, general liability, breach of contract, and misapplication claims. Leslie also assists her clients with contract formation and negotiation. Though Leslie’s practice is primarily focused on construction matters, she also represents clients in a variety of litigation areas including commercial litigation, as well as insureds throughout the insurance claims process and litigation against their insureds.
In 2017, Leslie expanded her practice areas to include representing developers for numerous historic rehabilitation federal and state tax credit projects, including providing legal counsel for real estate acquisition, interim financing, construction financing, historic tax credit investor capital contributions, and state and local tax abatement incentive programs.
Leslie graduated from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law was admitted to practice law in Louisiana in 2009. She is also admitted to the Eastern District of Louisiana. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History from Loyola University New Orleans.
